sloppy transmission
i just got a 1994 T100 SR5 with a manual transmission. the shifting feels really sloppy, hard to find gears. and way on cleaning this up with out a complete rebuild?

The gears themselves are most likely fine, but there are a few bushings in the shifter linkage assembly which are toast..
I replaced the bushings in my w56 tranny a few weeks ago and it made a huge difference.. free play was reduced significantly, and reverse became so much easier to engage.
Here is the old vs new bushing on the very lower end of the shift lever.
and what the old bushing looked like on the shifter.. it was esentially worn completely away.
