Im getting ready to buy some new wheels for my stock 92 4runner and was wondering if I should get a 15x7 wheel or a 15x8. I know that the stock wheels are 15x7 with a backspacing of 4.75 but I figured that if I was buying new wheels I should also think about future mods.

I am going to be running 33x10.50x15 mud terrains. The options for wheels are:
*15x8 with 4in backspacing
*15x8 with 4.75 backspacing
*15x7 with 4in backspacing


Which wheel would be better for me?

 

I think "15x8 with 4in backspacing"
would be the best all around option for you..

 

Just remember; the bigger the tire, the crappier your already crappy fuel mileage will become; acceleration, too.

 

X2.. that will give you options for different tires down the road. I'm running 15X8 with 2.5" BS on my crawler.

 

yeah i was thinking the same thing about the 15x8s. i guess ill be going with them then

 

I didnt really notice that much of a loss in power going from my 28s to the 33s. Even up hill it isnt bad.

 

What gears do you have?
