Side view mirror swap

I've been reading thread after thread on side view mirror swaps on this and other sites. I'm wondering if i can get some confirmation that the fj62 mirrors bolt right in place on a first gen 4runner. Also wondering if anyone could tell me if the pigtails for the power option match for my 88. I've noticed that the control panel is identical.

This page implies that the two styles are interchangeable so I think the holes are probably the same distance apart. If you end up needing to drill holes it's surprisingly easy with a fresh drill bit.

I didn't see the second post where you want the power option. Maybe take a picture of the power pigtails you have and post it on IH8mud.

Id rather not drill holes as easy as it may be. And im also wondering if the body lines are the same so the mount sits flush. Id maybe go with manual but if its plug and play i thought itd be worth finding a power set or splicing the pigtails if simple enough. I was asking more in thought that someone may have done such or seen such or have a picture of the fj62 wiring etc.. thanks for your input nonetheless
