A buddy has a 2006 Tacoma that he’ll sell me at a good price.
My wife says, “you have a truck, you don’t need another truck.”
Using my 4runner as a “truck” today.
15 pots of dirt, 6 bags of mulch, several potted plants and one carpet later,
I guess I inadvertently supported my wife’s side of the argument.
At least I managed to keep it clean.

I guess your wife has been chatting with mine...
Seat delete, replace the plastic panels with the Key Panels or similar, remove the carpet and you have a pickup:
That is not the way I use to park the truck, I just did it for a few minutes for the pic.

They do work out good as a pickup! I saw the seat delete for sale on FB market place last year locally for 75 bucks. I was tempted to go get it. A buddy at work received his 85 4runner new with that panel. Too cool.
i've got a factory roll-bar pad on my parts runner. you're welcome to it if you want it, free.
Wally, thanks for the super generous offer. As it turns out I was just looking at those on ebay this morning. But I will happily pay you fair market value for it, or trade parts. Let me know if you are looking for anything. Rear seats?

my rear seats are pretty good, but they are missing the headrests. years ago, someone, perhaps on t4r.org, sent me a free set, but they didn't fit - i think they were really front seat headrests. only other thing i'd really like to find is the sunroof shade (and i'd send cash and the rollbar cover for that!). but i really don't want any money for the cover; happy to send it along to someone who can use it. it is dusty, but complete and not torn (i'll have to be careful unzipping it from the rollbar).

just tell your wife, if you're limited to one truck, she's limited to one pair of shoes...
spread some fluid film on the roll bar pad zipper to lubricate it. letting it sit. not rusted, but stuck in place at the moment. i'll get it out intact.
it's on its way via USPS. should arrive by wednesday.
I’m happy to report the US postal service can still be trusted. The roll bar cover arrived today and it’s in great shape!
Thanks again, Wally. I’ll use your return address to compensate you.

glad you like it. it appeared to be in really good condition, just musty/dusty. the foam inside looked excellent - probably better than the foam in either of my '87s.
shipping was only $9.25. don't go nuts. i'm happy with $9.25 as comp.
Well, there it is! Got home from Florida last night and today gave it a quick wash with soap and water and a shot of vinyl protectant and it’s good to go. Increased my coolness factor by a few points and looks good in my rear view mirror, too.
Thanks again, Wally. Watch your mailbox this week.
