shorten tie rod ends for 4" ifs lift?

anyone here have to shorten their inner or outer tie rod ends to accomodate a 4" lift? pro comp says they may need to be shortened to acheive proper alignment, so i was wondering if i should just shorten them now before i go for an alignment. truck is still on jackstands but i finished the front install last nite going after the rear right now
thanks-

mine made the LCAs droop a little more, causing toe in. Had to adjust the tie rods a little, but the adjustment was Longer!
