Shortage somewhere??

So this morning (1am) I got in my truck after work and everything was frozen. So I turned on my wipers, defrost and went to turn on the wiper in the rear and rear wiper. Neither came on or would turn on. Then I leaned forward and hit the button that activates the lights on my steering wheel and normally you just hit it a few more times and it scrolls through all the colors and then shuts off. It wouldn't shut off without shutting off the truck.
So I went in side and got some cool water, poored it over the windows to thaw and over my back wiper in case it was just frozen in position.
No go. Still wouldn't come on and even by the time i got home and the truck was totally warm I still couldn't get the back wiper or back defrost on.

Shortage?? or just ghost in my truck playing games??

So let me get this straight... you have a light up steering wheel?

BLING!

With the cold we have been having, it sounds mighty coincidental that you would get a short at the same time...

LOL yes and Crash covers his eyes when he has to install all my pretty lights.

So you think it was just cause it was so cold?? I haven't been outside yet today to check it.

You need to make Crash go out there and fix it.

Yeah I already asked but I have to wait in line, he's got someone elses rig in the garage and I have to be to work at 3pm so I just thought I'd ask here since I have a feeling it will be just as cold tonight when I get off work.

I just would have thought that if it was cause it was frozen then by pooring the cool waterover the area where the wiper is then it would have unstuck. But then the fact that even the defroster wouldn't come on was weird.

If the wiper was frozen in place, you might want to check the fuse. It might have blown trying to run, but not moving. Not trying to be funny - I just didn't see it mentioned.

haha not only is his not street legal but has no top so I'd be cold for sure and be in more need of heat then defrost..

Oh and Tc.. lol My bad. Should have known.

Anyway, problem solved. Not cold tonight either so made it home without having to worry about whether it would work or not.

Thanks everyone.

yeah problem solved. I'm an idiot but didn't want to admit it

When Crash unloaded my groceries the night before I guess the window didn't get rolled up all the way and since I'm a retard I didn't think to check that. So with the window not up all the way. Wiper and defrost didn't work. Steering wheel is still having issues but that one I can live with lol
