SHOCKS (Procomp 3000's) who is using them?

I'm looking to order the procomp 3000's for my 95
4runner (4x4)

My ? is, is any one of you using them on your rigs, and how do you like them. I do want to say that I do very little off roading.

Also, I have read somewhere that they are to short and that they hit the bump stops. Something along that line.
Is this true at all?

Any input would help me decide before ordering.

Thanks

I run them. Procomp es3000's made for 0-1.5" of lift. They feel great, 100x better then whatever old junk was on there before.

Do you think they are close to OEM?

I have them on both of my trucks and I think they work pretty well for the money. Get the package deal with the steering stabilizer.

On my 4runner the fronts seem a little too soft. I have BJ spacers and uncranked torsions and 3" lift shocks. Flex offroad is great but it floats a little on the highway.

The 9000's are a larger diameter than the 3000 and rub on the front bumpstop but the 3000's do not rub on either truck. I will eventually do Bilstiens on the 4runner but the 3ooo's are fine for now.

If you can afford it, stay away from the procomp 3000 on your 2nd gen. I tried these and they were just a waste of money. I took them off after 2months use due to terrible handling and unacceptable rear wander on washboard roadsand. I tore them out and went with OME,

I found they rode great! For 40 bucks they can't be beat.

X2, when they are on sale they are like $30-40 more. The 9000's are not bad. They are nice and firm but not too harsh. I think the 3000 are hydro and the 9000 are nitro (gas charged)?

I have them on my 4runner and all I can say is they are rough rough rough. I also have the pro-crap 4" lift so that doesn't help either. Why not look into some monroe sensetracks or OME since your not doing a lot of offroading.

I like my Procomps, they give a good ride on a offroad. You are correct, they are short for the application and the extension bumpstop INSIDE the shock limits rear travel quite a bit. Mind you, its still very capable offroad, so if you're not going offroad often, then don't wory about it, as you won't notice.
