which shocks?

So im in the market for new shocks.... im not sure which ones are best though. im on somewhat of a budget. the rancho 5000s will run about 160-200. and pro comp 9000 are a lil less. when i get new shocks my 1990 4runner will have downer HD coils and 1.5 or 2 inch spring spacers in the back. and bj spacers in the front. which shock is better. and what kind of shock should i get with that much lift on my truck...

thanks

Just installed Bilstein HD's and HOLY ˟˟˟˟˟ is that a difference. Im putting in OME 901's next week but i deffinetly vote for Bilstein HD's. I was going to go with pro comps originally, but with some research around the board i found that only a few guys liked them. Ive heard way too many good things about Bilstein and the lifetime warranty so i decided to pay the 256 at autozone.com and i am very very very pleased with them.

260 or so is not so bad for the Bilstein HD's. i thought those would run in the later 300s. and the rancho shocks are on sale 3 get one free but at 4wheelparts.com that only works if you buy 4 LIKE shocks. such as 4 front or 4 rear. if you want 2 and 2 the discount does not come up. i emailed them about that and got no response.

Curly, I vote for spending the little bit extra and getting the Billies. Had 'em on my 99, and the were great. I have the Tokico's on my DC, and when I need to replace them, I'm gonna go with Bils. But I also ran Rancho 9's on my 82 and 86, and they are good shocks, too.

I just got two Billstien 5100 to replace my RS90012. I like the 5100 better. I couldn't adjust the 9K to my liking.

Bilsteins are the best I have ever put on a Toyota. I have had the 5000 Ranchos on my 1980 Truck and my 1990 Runner and they dont compare. These Bilsteins are the way to go - save a little more and do it right. The Downey springs also made a huge diffence when loaded.

Has Rancho 5000s on my 92, busted a rear one.

Have OMEs on my 95, soft, stiff and strong as can be.

Another vote for the skyjacker nitros, can't beat 'em for around $140 a set

Bilsteins. I have never had them but they are constantly recommended but expensive.

I have had Rancho 5000's in the past but over the years have broken two of them. If you don't have a receipt, the warranty isnt' any good. Who keeps receipts for 5 years?

If money isn't an issue, go with Bilsteins.

Here you go: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BILST...QQcmdZViewItem
$100 buys you 2 for the rear - not a bad price.
