Im need a new pair of front shocks for my 86 toyota 4x4. I was told that all shocks are the same no matter the brand. So wants the best brand and where to get some cheap ? Are there off road shocks and street shocks?

 

Go to NAPA or whatever your favorite parts store is. Say, "I want the cheapest shocks I can get for my truck."

Or spend some time learning through this forum and others about the suspension of your truck and make an educated decision on what you need based on how you use your truck on a daily basis.

Oh and by learning I mean SEARCH.

There are too many shock threads to even start a new one. A quick search turned up about a hundred.
