Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I've been on here. I'm looking at getting some new shocks for my 94 pickup. I think I've narrowed it down to two choices the first:

The reason I'm looking at these is because I have a bumper and winch that is adding around 350lbs to the front end. I think they would help on the rears when I load a 4wheelr in the bed. I like the adjustment option of the Ranchos. I was wondering if any had any experience with either shock and if they would help with my added weight?

You want these. The rwd 1 ton springs. They fit but I'm not sure if they will lower your truck since they are 2wd springs.

That rockauto link didn't work. Look up this word and part number on there , DAYTON 90205 those are the springs.

Those rancho shocks are nice from what I hear but they will blow out fast if you don't have the spring weight capacity that you need just like any shock would. And those helper coil shock things are a waist of your time. Do it right and get higher spring rate torsion bars and leafs and get some decent shocks and you will be much happier. Put higher rate leafs on the rear and tundra trd yellow billies/coils on my dad's taco and it can handle the plow alot better (almost sits even) and it can take a ton of pellets in the bed (1 inch from bump stop) not the same front suspension but it's the same concept

Thanks for the information. I'm definitely looking into the torsion bars. The springs are quite spendy for what I need, maybe haul a lot of weight/4wheelr only a couple times a year just doesn't justify that. That's why I was curious to see if those two shocks would help out for the couple times a year.
