Shock Length for Chevy 63s

I've been searching forever trying to figure out what length shocks I need for the 63" conversion and I haven't found anything. If I missed something in my search, a link would be much appreciated. I'll be buying the Sky swap kit and mounting the shocks in the stock location (if possible). Thanks in advance.

are you sure its 16" travel or did I just misinterpret your post? I can only find a 12" travel shock with a 18" compressed length

every set up is a little different...you need to get a tape measure after you install the springs and measure your flex and compression and chose an appropriate shock length. I assume you are making custom mounts as well...the length of the shock can be fudged a little depending on how you make your mounts as well

So what is the longest shock you can run?. I'm doing the swap on my 83 and I want as much flex as possible.

12" travel is the max on my truck. Works perfectly with chevy springs.

Is it possible to just use the stock shock mounts or will I need to make custom ones?

I've noticed several people who didn't relocate the rear shackle mount... used a double shackle (stock Toy on frame, and mocked up chevy shackle mounted to spring)

I'll be relocating the shackle mounts as I've read bad things about the double shackle set-up with wheel hop. As a slight thread jack, I grew up in Redding grovedogg. Small world, haha

stock toyota rear springs up front..its a common swap..they are longer than stock front springs for the flex...

I would never recommend running double shackles on a rig.......when they unload it could be very bad...
