Shakes and Hesitates

Hello all, I have a '91 4runner SR5 V6 3.0 3VZE, it has recently begun to shake and hesitate when I accelerate, it shifts smoothly but when I get up to around 45mph thats when it is very noticeable, it feels like it wants to "bogg" down. If I continue to accelerate it will-after some hesitation- get around 60 mph and the shaking ( not referring to an alignment type shaking) from the engine will slightly smooth out. Any ideas on what could be going on. I aplologize if it's not to descriptive but if you need to know more please let me know. I'm thinking my first step would be to get the spark plugs and cables changed out.....

2nd gen tuning

start with the usual culprits.

-change wires
-change spark plugs
-change rotor
-seafoam it! (I like to go overkill-one bottle in the crankcase after an oilchange, one bottle in the gas tank, and suck a bottle into the brakeline).
-have your injectors pulled and cleaned professionally by Dr. Injector or similar.
-change your oil and all fluids

has worked wonders for me! (along with new exhaust and headers...great!)

to me it seems like a fuel problem... maybe its not getting enough fuel due to a clogged fuel filter for when the rpms suddenly jump... thats just me tho.. it could be in the wires or coil tho
