shackles for a 2wd???

ive been lookin for shackles for my 2wd toyota pu, but everything ive found thus far has been for 4wd trucks.

lol, yes robert, and ive been on the site above before, i believe compliments of you. however, im in a never ending research project and love to get new views.

now, from the site posted by hippy, on the shackle section, heavy duty or rubicon? and may i ask what the whole zerk thing is? worth the upgrade?

this is the list im lookin at.

The zerk is a grease gun fitting (fitted to a specially ported bolt) that allows the shackle/spring bushings to be greased. I don't have any experience with HD or greaseable shackles, but I think I would go with the Rubicon w/zerk. I like the idea of extending the life of my bushings, I don't know what the drawbacks might be. Maybe they're not as strong as the HD. Either would be better than stock, most likely.

go with the heavy duty ones. the rubicons are for more side to side flex and are not braced like the HD ones. if you dont plan on rock crawling then you will want the extra support from the HDs for stability and control. this is what the downey guys told me when i bought mine. also you dont really need the zerk fitting either. just grease the bushings up a little before you put them in and it will be fine for a long time.
also here is a side by side of the stock and the downey shackles.
