The Search for Rear Bumper Corners
Hey peeps, I've been looking high and low for a source (online or a junkyard.... anything really) of the rear bumper caps on my '86 4runner. My 4runner is the style that has a "step" in the middle of the bumper where you can see the spare. Pic is of my 4runner and you can see where the corner should be.... I would find a pic of the corner but there seems to be no pictures of the corner online :/
Anything can help, thank you!

Oh man, i wish my 86 bumper still looked like the one in your photo!
i recently changed to a later step bumper and it loks pretty good.
i believe i have two bumper ends you need but don’t recall if they are the same side or not so will have to look and report back to you.
Your rig looks straight and rust free. Where's “T-town”? Not the east coast...guessing Tahoe?

maybe you can use these part numbers in your search, I didn't see them available from overstock though.

My 4runner was actually really rusty when I got it. Both of the rear wheel arches were rusted so bad that I could put my hand through . Now, the front fenders have rust holes cover in tape (and paint) and the floor has quite a few holes. But most importantly, the frame and rockers are 100% rust free (I "blame" my tranny leak flinging oil everywhere lol
And also, T-Town is Tulsa Oklahoma! Oklahoma is my home and in a really cool part of the USA. Oklahoma has its own very particular vibe to it... not quite texas, kansas, or missouri.

Thank you for the reply, Melrose! I actually have only one bumper corner (driver's side) and am crossing my fingers that you have the passengers side one.

I was able to find an entire clean rear bumper/mounts/end pieces but had to go to several junkyards and a guy who hoards parts in his garage to get it all. Ended up spending about $250 on all of it. I’ll be glsd to ride myself of the ugly steel tube bumper though.
Not an easy task. You need to be persistent.
Yoda Jim’s mentioned possibly being able to source the end pieces new still, I would start there. Be ready to spend $50/side on Chinese parts. The days of these trucks being cheap are long over.
