Scratchy reverse

Well lately when I go to shift into reverse it's a little scratchy and doesn't like to go in. I just wanted to know if you guys thought changing out my transmission fluid would stop this? I'm not sure when it was done last, I just bought the truck 2 months or so ago. I know I should probably do it anyway just to make sure it's good but i'm really tight on money so I'd rather only do it right now if it's gonna help that harsh shifting. Thanks yall.

If it's a manual, pull your shifter out and see if you have a crushed "shifter seat bushing" Marlin sells a HD replacment that I really like. http://www.marlincrawler.com/docs/sh...eat/index.html

yes it's a manual. Thanks for that link, I had actually been wondering about something like that cause my shifter is really loose feeling compared to my DSM so I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that or not.
