Running Board end caps

Running Board end caps
I have heard that you can replace the stock RB end caps on a 2nd Gen 4Runner with those from a 2nd Gen pickup. Has anyone tried this (pictures please)? Where would you suggest I look for end caps from a pickup? I want some end caps that do not connect to the fenders.
