IMO roof racks on trucks look pretty lame.

Now a light bar or a roll bar +lights would look bitchin'

i considered doing the same a while back because i was jealous of the hi-lift and shovel mounting solutions that a rack would create, but i opted out because yes, i think it would look dumb. i like my hi-lift on top of my toolbox...even though it makes it much harder (heavier) to open the top...

Check out the black Tacoma, his rack is on the bed which doesn't look too bad.

i think a roof rack on a p/u would be kinda funky nothing more than a light bar should be up there, and whats the point of a roof rack on a pickup? thats what the back is for

Here's kind of a compromise http://www.backcountryracks.com/inde...uck_Rack_small
This can be set in two different positions, above the cab or about 8-10" below.

Towards the bottom of this page there's one on a Tacoma.

i think a roof rack would be sweet you know why unique we all have diffrent styles so dont let any one else comments about it be lame bother you
what you need is cross bars you can get them custom from Yakima to your size and the towers would have to be custom mounted of course i dont know about that sorry

so what does a roll bar do? you cant carry estra stuff with that can you?
but a basket roof rack you can.........

My 87 4Runner had roofracks on it when I bought it. They came off a Saab and the PO said he found them on the side of the road. I never used them though so I ended up selling them.
