Another great write-up!

I'd add only that using the correct metal may prevent this excellent mod from looking crusty in a year. Aluminum, stainless, or something powder coated? Think it through with whatever you go with!

Thanks tj, your right even the galvanized strapping tends to rust over time as do some of the stainless screens, mine usually get a rattle can spray at least once a year.
