Talking Road noise....how to lesson it?

Driving the 89 4runner with 22re is a lot of fun, however, at freeway speeds, it is a tad louder than my oldsmobile.

How can I deadon down the road noise? Seems fairly loud in the rear of the vehicle. Should I pull the side panels back off and spray the inside of the fender wells with something?

Thanks a lot.

Cant really other than removing the carpet and dyomating it. It is a truck and thus will never ride like your car.

another one for dynomating it...you can spray on sound deadener, but i've always had good luck with dynomating the vehicle. now this dynomat weighs some pounds so think about that too....

Forget the brand, but they are pretty much wore out all season stock size radials. I think I'm gonna have to spring for some tires since these are pretty much toast anyway.

Try spraying some rubberized undercoating on the bottom of the cab...also tires can play a huge part in road noise.....what kinda tires u got?

New radials tend to be quiet...especially if they have a street pattern like your Olds.
