Hi, A few months ago I completed my first engine rebuild on my 88 pickup, so now my 22re has about 2 thousand miles, that was a good learning experiance, but this thing has about 244,000 on the frame. What maintenance needs to be done to my rig apart from engine maintenance cuz i already know all that

 

Grease driveline.
Check brake fluid, PS fluid.
Check for looseness in steering.
Wash mud, especially road salt of the truck
grease the frame if you're neurotic

anyway.

Im going to get in the habbit of greasing my u joints every time I change my oil.
simple things like that, go around the undercarrige looking for any loose or missing bolts, any that are fubar rusted hit them with renetrating lube, losen them or take them out clean em up and put them back in there.
Also lower you spare tire and lube up its mechanism

 

well, grease the u-joints...
if it hasn't been done, drain and refill the differentials
service the transmission and transfer case
flush and fill the brakes
check the ball joints for cracked dust boots and replace the boots and / or ball joints as necessary

lots of stuff that should be done.
