Replacement axleshaft
Hey everybody,
I just picked up an 88 4Runner on 35's. It's manual, 3.0 SR5.
I started to go at a light and snapped my rear axle shaft. Apparently Toyota doesn't have one in north america.
I've tried some aftermarket, but they're all out of business. The wreckers don't have any toyota 4x4s in their yards. They don't die often enough haha.
Any ideas? I'm in Calgary.

Ouch..
I would just find another stock replacement. These don't break often or so i hear..
I broke one while taking off from a stop but it was from heating up the bearing while replacing the rear wheel bearing, or at least that is what we think
You could look into marlincrawler or trail-gear for some replacements. They are not stock replacements though. I haven't heard much about them, except everyone i talk to says stick with the stockers, cause the upgraded ones are a waste of money especially on smaller tires.
MAN TOYOTA1, beat me to it!
When i broke mine i looked at TG's and they were like under $100 a piece.
Maybe they redesigned them?

Sweet, thanks guys
I ordered some from trail gear. A single stock one came in at $704 from Toyota... $249 a pair from trail gear for the upgrade. And Toyota would have taken a month to get it to Canada. wow
