Yup, replaced the tps with a different one (free ) No more problems.

Also did a compression test, but they said 70-75 psi. Which i think means the gauge is broken(im a hoping) The truck runs good so i assume its the gauge.. anyways, today a buddy said he would get his hands on a different tester and we will use that one soon just to verify.

Hmm, me thinks my tps needs some help.. My idle can change everytime I stop my truck. Range from 500rpm to 1100rpm! Seems to go down if im idling for a long time too....

thas what mine did.

One thing i noticed when i put the other tps on it, was you have to put it on and kind of rotate it to where there is "just" tension on the spring. Otherwise there would have been no change in mine. I think maybe i just put it on wrong from the start, but didn't feel like pulling the new one off so i could put the old one on to check.

75 psi is bad....if its only in one cylinder. If all cylinders said 70-75, you can rest assured it the gauge. Unless the truck runs horrible lol

nope, it was all the cylinders that i checked, i didn't check cyl 5 because that was a pain to get to with what i was using and i already predicted the gauge is toast.

Still runs good!!! (knock on wood)

I was almost as happy as the original poster here however when I throttle up to about 1500 rpm it stalls on me. I mean heck it idles and revs like a brand new motor, its awesome. But no matter what I try I cant get the dang thing in sync with the tps. I tried and tried to get the throtle stop screw and the position of the tps itself aligned but I cant get it. I read over http://4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/TPS/index.shtml but theres no way Im gonna understand all of that lingo with the ohm meter and all that. Isnt there a simpler method for one to adjust this part? At least somewhere to start? Please help me Im about to set this thing on fire here.

My truck has a 22re and sometimes it will idle about 800rpm and other times it will idle about 400rpm. Could this be a tps problem? It is not throwing a tps code. Also, how do you adjust the tps? Do you just turn it until it idles right or what?
