Removing xtra cab rear trim
Hey all, I'm restoring an 87 pickup and am trying to remove the interior rear side panels that go from floor to ceiling and surround the rear windows.
Any clue on how to remove this? Feels so brittle I'm afraid to break it. There's gotta be better way, right?
Thanks!

Have you removed all the other trim pieces that hold it in. The xtra cab windows need to come out. The rubber trim around the doors needs to come off. And Im sure theres more. Its been a while since Ive pulled the panels out but it was pretty easy from what I remember.

With trim, this will save your trim and your pocketbook a load of hurt: http://www.harborfreight.com/5-piece...set-67021.html

Thanks for the quick responses! If my trim breaks in the process, I've been eyeing those fiberglass pieces for sure! But I'd rather buy something I want (like that fiberglass windshield visor) than something I need because I broke mine haha.
So anyway... removing the window. How do I do that? I'll search just in case it's been answered.

1985 FSM -- download it while it's up. Basically, it just directs you to the back window directions. Pull the weatherstripping and then remove any screws holding the glass in I guess. My 93 quarter windows open and assemble differently.
