I keep hearing and seeing people that have had their engines rebuilt by Toyota for a recall what's the deal with this anyone can give me any info or is this the head gasket recall?? How do you know if yours has been done??

 

Call the dealer with your Vin. They can tell you if your truck has been done.

I've had my truck in at the dealer for the steering recall but thought they would of said if it hasn't been done yet..then heard from a couple of people on another website say that you have to ask to get it done thy just won't tell you it needs to get done is this true??

 

99% chance it has been done by a previous owner. Most of them popped or where caught early.

Just call them and ask, thats what I did for my steering recall. They never called me...

 

If it was done, wouldn't he be getting notices in the mail? I keep getting notices to get it done. They sent a notice to the PO (friend's brother) and then they got my address after getting the vehicle registered.
