I dig it, reminds me of the 1930's model B tractor I restored last winter. 22R motors are a little tractor/workhorse motor anyway.
what color is the truck it's going in?

if you want to avoid messing with the computer too much, you could up to a Supra AFM to better intake to the turbo. You need to swap the trace boards though.

That mod doesn't work so well on Turbo motors. The Turbo is located on the Exhaust side, so leaving the air intake in the stock loaction is actually shorter.
If you swap loactions, you would have to have a long pipe from the airfilter(on intake side) to the turbo(on the exhaust side), and then another long pipe from the turbo to the throttle body.
I was thinking about it too originally, until I looked at my turbo location.

I love the painted chrome...
Hope you never have to pressure wash it.
If you use a t3, make sure you put in a decent downpipe with some flex tube.
Want to get power out of it, you'll need to do something with the ECU.
With a decent turbo, a stock 22RTE, and megasquirt you can turn 180rwhp.

Search "Bruce 22-RTE" on google. He makes/sells customs downpipes for the 22RTE.
Are you sure you want a 3" pipe though? that's pretty big for a small engine(and even smaller turbo). I know Bruce's pipes are either 2 1/4 or 2.5 w/ a flex joint.
