rear window works once every 2 weeks when it wants...

On my 86 4runner i think my rear window has a short in it but maybe i can start somewhere esle easier. It randomly works when ever it reall wants too. sometimes 3 days in a row sometimes not for a month anyone got any ideas? Oh and when it does work both key and switch do work.

This is a common problem with 1st gen 4Runners and you should have been able to find a plethora of information by searching the forum or using

Look on 4crawler's website, read and troubleshoot.
