I can not get the rear door of my 4runner to unlock. THe latch will not pull up.It was this way when I bought it. The window rolls down fine from the key switch in the back and the switch in the cab, but the door will not unlock when the window goes all the way down.

The only way I can open the door is to take off the cover and pull the door latch cables at the same time. It looks like some of the mechanisms in the door are bent, but ever thing seems to move soothly.

Does any one have any pics of the door w/ the cover off. I would like to see if I'm missing parts or parts are bent on my door.

 

If you can open the gate by taking off the cover and pulling the mechanism, i would lean with having something bent or out of adjustment. unfortunately i don't have any pictures, but that would be my best guess.
