Rear spring pad placement???

Hey guys,

Simple question but one that I need answering. What is the measurement for the rear axle spring pad placement? I have re-started a project that I left for a while and it looks like my rear driveshaft is on a left to right angle, so in other words the pinion is not in the middle. I know that for sure my pinion is off centre by 1" My pads are evenly spaced from the outside now (5in each from the outside of the axle now) but should they be offset to centre the pinion to the output of the transfer? The frame was a '91 extra-cab and I need to rotate the axle to allow a different pinion angle for a change in driveshaft angle due to a shortened frame. So when I reweld the perches on I want to make sure they are in the right spot.

Thanks guys.

29" CL to CL

U joints take out any left to right offset.

Center axle under frame.
