Is there a groove worn in the crank from the seal?
You can try to tap the seal in a little more so the seal rides on a flat part of the crank.

i dont know. the mechanic who installed my engine said the first one looked good and after it leaked he put this one in and said there were no problems with the crank. i also doubt he used a toyota seal.

i remember now i bought a napa rear main set and he used that the 2nd time.
