Rear leaf springs the same on 84-89 4runners?

I think I asked this question in a previous thread, but I do believe it got burtied somewhere in the thread.

Reason I'm asking is that JCWhitney has them for around 130 bucks a spring with free shipping.

1. Will these springs fit my 89 4runner (catalog only lists from 84-89).

2. Anybody have first hand experience with these springs?

Thanks.

Can't speak to the JC Whitney stuff but heres a link to an old thread regarding my solution. I also remember that there are 2 different widths of springs but I don't remember the cut off of years or if it was a runner vs Taco thing. Any way I went with the Downey springs strictly on price. I have had no problem with mine but some folks on this board have, so you might want to search that a little.

Good luck and feel free to ask any Q's

Called Downey on a 2 inch lift, new leaf springs. 187 bucks plus shipping. Guy was real easy to deal with.

Now need to figure out how to let the wifey let me order them!!

I would say since it's the same generation, and very little has changed in this generation that the springs should fit...but me i'm going the cheap way with add-a-leafs...hope to do that this Febuary vaction... don't worry i'll take pics...
4Runners were mean to be topless...
