Rear leaf springs

I'm trying to find a pair of leaf springs for my '87 4Runner 4x4. I would like NOT to use the 2"steal block that's on there now. Also want to use stock mounts with the springs. What brand is not going to brake the bank and give me a 2" lift. Skyjackers seem expensive, but are they the best? Need advice.

Old Man Emus are going to be a lot nicer than sky jacker. Expensive though. Good springs just aren't that cheap new.

I am using the OME CS010R with my 1988 4Runner. They are about $200 for a set, plus bushing.

They ride much better than stock (firmer), but I think that the stock springs were too soft for the 4Runner anyway. I put them on one year ago, they settled about 1/2 inch.

I have been happy with the pro comps, but they will be pretty tall until they settle.

I hate add a leafs. Sag very fast. Wabfab, you should try and sell a nice kit with full leafs. Would be pricey but would ride a lot better.

There are no zuk springs, ZUK is a person and the mod is named after him. You're looking for coil springs, like you'd find in a coil-sprung suspension. The idea behind the mod is to shove coils between your frame and rear axle; you end up with the bastard child of a leaf-sprung and a coil-sprung suspension.

Yo, magnusian, sorry I'm not a know-all on Toyota. That's why I, (the dummy), ask questions. Peace out.

Is this a daily driver or a Toy for wheeling on the weekends?

It matters. The Zuk mod seems great for on-road usage for ride comfort and load, but will reduce flex for off-road.

This truck is used for hunting. A 250 mile road trip and just off road trail ridding no serious abuse. A few deep mud pits at worse. Thanks for the reply.

Wrong. I originally thought that as well which is why I started this thread a while back.

There are more photos in that thread, and those appear to be as much if not more flex then stock but certainly not less. The only issue that was brought up which noone has yet to dispute is the small chance of axle wrap then the ZUK springs unload, but I personally I don't buy that as it's not like your completely removing the leaf springs and when unloaded it's just the same as a stock setup so no more chance then stock springs as far as axle wrap goes.

Can I use the Zuk mod even with new springs? Or would I be waisting my time. My springs are so rusted out I know its a matter of time before they break.
