If my 87 is the same as yours for rear heat, all it is a blower/fan under the center consol. It unbolts after you remove the center consol

I want to remove the hoses that supply the heat. I need to know whats involved and which hoses need to be removed and plugged.

supply and return lines from the valve on the firewall down to the tunnel and coming up near the tcase. you can remove them completely or cut and loop at the valve on the firewall.

remove your console, remove the blower assy, reinstall the console and youre pretty much done.

finally getting around to tackling this project are there any new parts needed to make this go smoothly ??? any more info would be appreciated. I am more concerned with the plumbing than the blower in the counsel itself.

get to the firewall, do a quick measure, and go to napa or similar and get a little c-shaped heater hose, so you can loop it back on itself. a couple clamps and you're done. this is the easiest way i've found. plus, if you want to go to 4crawler's website, you can check out his hot shower mod!
