Rear brake question - LORORS Mini-Stock

I have removed the E-brake cables from the rear drums, and I want to find out if the following will cause problems:

What are the downfalls or problems with removing the automatic adjuster detent tabs? These are the little 90 degree tabs that have one leg that rides on the serated adjuster and the other leg is connected to the longer bracket that attaches to the e-brake cables behind the rear brake pad on each side. I'm hoping that I can remove all of this since I don't want the automatic adjusters active on this truck.

FYI, this is a Mini-Stock truck that will be raced at the Lucas Oil Regional Offroad Series that starts next month here in So-Cal...
