rear axle help

hi every one, im new to the sight. i have an issue. i have a `90 4runner. the issue is, the rear anti-lock came on but sometimes it will go off. im being told now that it wont go over 50 on the freeway, when you turn it feels like the wheels are stuck. when you turn off the truck it jumps, makes a loud noise and then falls back down.

is the gearing diff. in a tacoma and a runner? how hard would it be to put a chevy axle under it (rear)

also, just wondering if any one has a solution to the crappy gas milage and lack of power?

Sounds like your rear brakes need adjustment.

Auto or manual transmission?

chevy axles are doable, but you are going to have to weld on new spring purches. no idea on the drive shaft tho, id have to look at it. also they are probably alot wider, unless your using an s10 axle/blazer axle but then your rear will be a 5 lug. and your going to have to find one witn the same gears thats in your front diff.

Turn what off? the truck?

"when you turn it feels like the wheels are stuck"

stuck how? cant steer?

"also, just wondering if any one has a solution to the crappy gas milage and lack of power?"

what motor/tranny/gears do you have?

yah, when you turn the truck off. its the V6 auto, i dont know the gears. you have to give it alot of gas to move it, they will turn but you got to give it alot of power. it is in 2 wheel drive, i know that.
