You can also test the T-stat...remove it, get a big pot, fill with water, get a thermometer, and suspend the t-stat in the water, along with the thermometer also, dont let either touch the sides or bottom of the pot. Heat the water on the stove, and see at what temp the T-stat opens. Handy to know.
