How much height will the torsion bars give you fully cranked, opposed to as low as possible?

It just lifts the front end, correct?

 

i dont know by the numbers but maxing out your torsion bars is usually a bad idea as you wont have any more downtravel. and yes, it just lifts the front

i can already tell youre looking for some sort of cheap way to lift more, i wouldnt do t-bars fully cranked

 

haha I was just curious to see if the height was worth the bad ride.
i THINK theyre about half way right now.
Do you know how much travel you'd achieve by loosening them?

The bumpstops provide the upper and lower limit of travel, so if you are not hitting one or the other stop, then that would indicate how much you could gain.

 

the guy i bought my 90 4runner off of had the t-bars maxed out, up to a stock 95 4runner i was 2" over

 

0" of travel gain. The only thing t bar crank does is lift.

If you have the torsion bars cranked up so high or have a much larger than stock bar installed, that can limit compression travel to the point that the bumpstop won't make contact. In that case you will have less travel than stock. Ball joint spacers can increase travel by creating more room for the suspension to move, and can provide lift without over tightening the bar:
