random bucking after on E

Gauge read on E so headed to gas station it started sputtering and bucking so drifted in and filled up. Expecting all to be well started driving and it still did it for 15 minutes. If light on pedal its ok push it down and all bad. After 15min all was fine. Stopped at another place then continued home. Drove to work in morning all good. Started it up at end of day drove 5 minutes down road and started bucking again. 10 minutes later all clear and fine. My first thoughts fuel pump but I can't find a Schrader or anywhere to hook my gauge up. There's so much crap on this motor I dont even know what to think. 91 22re. Also it appears as though there is a rusty pipe where the fuel filter should be if its supposed to be by oil filter area. Thanks.

My guess is a clogged fuel injectors. Mine did that too, then i tore everything apart and 2 of the 3 passenger side injectors had crap in them. Ordered flamethrowers and changed the fuel filter and it worked fine… Make sure you blow the lines out, i didn't and had to take it apart again. Now i've got two injectors failing on me, but the truck is still drivable, just misses ever so slightly.

Yours randomly bucked? Mine seems like it only does it mid day on my way home from work. I checked again I do not have a fuel filter. Goes straight from tank to cold start injector. I have no experience with Toyota's so no clue as to air getting into cold start thing which I think is bad anyway cause its hard to start in winter. I do know my 4th injector has been clicking since I got the truck maybe it is failing finally. I have 19lb injectors from my 4.0 wrangler wonder if I could swap them in? I'm thinking I need to remove this coupler and install fuel filter asap though.
