I've got a '92 4x4 pickup. It's stock height. I found Rancho rs5000's for the front, but for the rear they only listed shocks for the 2wd, or the 3-4" lift.

I know a stock 4x4 is about 3 inches taller than a 2wd truck. So I'm guessing the 2wd shocks are too short, and the 3-4" lift ones are too tall.

I guess my question is which should I get? Do they make a stock 4x4 shock? Am I SOL?

Rancho makes shocks for the stock trucks.

every catalog I've looked at lists Rancho at 0-1" lift, 1-2" lift, 2-3" lift, 3-4" lift.

I highly doubt the 2WD trucks are 3" shorter than the 4x4's - that's a HUGE difference.

Are you set on the Rancho's?
I'd look into some OME's if it were me - I'm a huge fan.

Extended Length (in): 14.370 in.
Collapsed Length (in): 9.120 in.


4wd:

Extended Length (in): 22.375 in.
Collapsed Length (in): 14.125 in.


That's a HUGE difference....

should have just posted here first. when i go into work tomorrow i will call rancho's vendor line and see what they say, or if they have a part number for the right shock.
