R12 OR 134a

I have a 94 ex-cab 3.0, what era A/C system do I have, 134a, or the older R12?

What difference does it make?

If it was that important, you could open the hood and explore. Or, take the VIN to a dealer.

That said; '94-'95 was the era of the switchover, so your '94 might be either. So the advice stands.

IIRC the schrader valves are different between the two so if you can determine which is which, that should point you at the answer.

Well the PO must have removed whatever stickers once existed because there is no sign left. I guess I'll run my VIN through a dealer. Thanks.
