R&R Rear Shocks-95 SR5
Replacing the rear shocks on the 95 4Runner, they are the original shocks so I'm thinking it's going to be a little tough getting them out, especially the right(passenger) side.
Any hot tips on the best way to get these things out? I've douched the bolts with penetrating oil hoping that will help.
Being used to working on a 90 Toy pickup, this 4Runner is not the easiest vehicle to work on, that's for sure.

I used a flex head gear wrench on the top bolt (14 mm, I think). I simply put it over the bolt and held it in place with the top of the frame pocket. Then I wrapped a Vice Grip chain wrench (the one with the length of chain that allows you to wrap around something round) and using the Vice Grip, rotated the shock body, rather than trying to rotate the wrench at the top.
I had them out in less than an hour. Hope this helps.
