Quick rebuild question.

I have a 1992 pickup 4x4 I just pulled the motor from and have begun to rebuild it's a 22re.

I have the crank and pistons installed
Picking up the new head tomorrow.

So anyway my question is would it be easier to just bolt up the head finger tight without putting on the intake or anything else and drop it back into the truck and mount everything up from there?

Or would it be easier to have the motor ready to go and drop it in with everything on it.

The reason I ask is because it seems like it would be easier to get it on the trans with less weight on it.
