Question on ADD 4X4

Plan on doing the change to manual when the weathers warmer seen about 3 different ways to engage sleeve, hose clamp, deleting vacuum lines and connecting one from motor to acculator and one post said you can lock in and then pull vacuum lines and cap fittings at acculator and it will stay in. My question is if I lock in and the light comes on and its in four wheel for sure, is there any way it can come back out without me shifting it out, don't want to get back in snow country and then lose 4x4 drive.

I did this mod on my '91 4runner and it works great. There is no chance of loosing 4x4 when the hose clamp is in the 'locked position.' One thing i would suggest is manual hubs... Ü

Should re word my question.Right now with the ADD 4x4 system if it is in 4 wheel drive can it come out of 4 wheel without manually shifting it out? For example if a vacuum line broke or a ADD electric switch malfunctioned.
