Question on 4wd light

Hey everyone, hoping for a quick answer here as i'm on my shop pc.
I'm working on a friends 94' 4wd truck with manual hubs...and for some reason I can't get the damn 4wd light to shut off on the dash even though it's not IN 4wd.
Anything quick I should look at?

If it is a manual tranny with manual hubs, then the 4WD switch in in the t-case, passenser side up near where the shifter attaches. You could disconnect the switch and see if the light goes out. If so, check the switch, it may be stuck on, if not, there may be a short in the 4WD switch wiring.

4wd light

Yes if I unhook the conector it goes out. Gonna take it for a ride and get it up to operating temp and see if the switch frees itself up.
