quarter panel replacement HELP!!!

ok, so, i went to a pick-n-pull and grabbed both the driver and passenger side quarter panel's off of two different pickup's, (one an 86 and one an 87) same color, and just after removing the old one's the new ones were found to overlap/underlap/gap with the door. now, from what i understand the body pieces are swappable...not? i asked before and people said they'd fit. please help!!!

I guess this happens if you don`t look and measure things before.

These Trucks are a few years old you have no idea what might be on them from what year.

I also had no idea pick ups had quarter panels just where are they at???

if your talking fenders no they are not interchangeable with your year. 87's are different than your year by the looks of your photo.

much different headlight no need to even measure. doors are not interchangeable either.

not sure on the bed though

I also believe the fenders and beds are different between 4wd and 2wd as well.

89-95 (90-95 4runner) fender on top 84-88 (84-89 4Runner) fender on bottom

AARRG!!! well, thanks guy's. i had no idea that '89 didnt have interchangeable body parts. and thanks fer the correction on the part name. well, anyone lookin for some new fenders for (possibly) an 86 or 87? heh.

think the same deal goes for an e-brake cable? i pulled one off the same truck(s) i got the fenders off of and it was too short. (anyone need an e-brake cable? hehe)
