Exclamation push rod help!

anyone know if its possible to adjust the booster push rod without the sst 09737-00011 tool it calls for? or if i truly need it,where can i get one?

so the new booster push rod is about and inch longer than the old one....how would i adjust this?also does it matter if the new one is a little bigger (overall) than the old one? or is it possibly wrong part? i did go through kragen....

nobody has this problem or knows anything about it? im pretty stuck here and i need to fix this quick, its killing me not havin a truck, its my daily driver. so any info is useful
