installing 3.0 with tranny and tcase

how hard is it to install the 3.0 with the tranny and transfercase bolted up to the engine? seems awful long to put in all together, just wondering if its do-able?

Which tranny and tcase? I certainly understand why you want to bolt them together outside the truck!

If it's a manual transmission, I would leave the tcase off.

Not sure if you can do that with the auto since the tranny/tcase are siamesed ... probably end up spilling fluid all over or getting dirt in somewhere you really don't want it.

Don't worry about the tcase then - REAL easy to install from under the truck.

You'll need an engine hoist w/balancer to install with the tranny attached, but it's not hard with those items.
