First, it's "Damper." Not dampener, not dampner.

As discussed above, the screw, if it does anything, is a pressure indicator. So just screw it in until it just starts to seat; with pressure on the diaphragm it will be pushed out. Do NOT tighten it; that pulls the diaphragm all the way aft and prevents it from damping the pulsations. Here's some pictures of one cut apart if you care: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...octite-266710/

I've never heard of rubber-lined crush washers, but I have no reason to think they wouldn't work well. I'm guessing you'll use a little less torque, but how much less I can't say. Feel free to ask your shop if they have a spec.

You DO need to replace them; they are "crush" washers. If you install new ones, you can feel them snug up about 1 1/2 turns before you reach the torque spec. That's the washers crushing to form the seal. So yours are already crushed; you can't reuse them.

Yeah, I know, someone will chime in and say he reused his and it didn't leak. Yet. At first. But we're talking gasoline here, so for about $1 apiece I'm not flirting with that!

Thank you so much for your advice, I appreciate it. I will definitely replace the gaskets/washers. Do you have a good website to order them (cold start injector to fuel delivery rail gaskets, and fuel pulsation damper gaskets) from? No auto shops (Oreilly's, Carquest, NAPA) nor Home Depot, City Mill, and Lowes carry them here on Oahu. The shop I got the gaskets with rubber on the inner circle only had the size for the 8 gaskets for the No.2 & 3 fuel pipes. Thanks again!

I've only found the crush washers at a dealer. Isn't there one at 2850 Pukoloa St, Honolulu ?

This place http://www.toyotapartsoverstock.com/...043018028.html (a dealer, so far as I can tell) might ship, but for $10 worth of gaskets the shipping might be a big chunk of that.
