Pullin a vacume

I searched pulling a vacume and it came up with nothing anyhow , The AC in my truck is almost fair.. Its cooling but not enough , compressor is fine , no noise kicks right in and runs quiet.. I charged it 2 years ago and it worked fair nothing special but i didin't pull a vacume.. I did not have a pump but ive found somebody to loan me 1 in the morning.. I have 3 cans of fresh freon and a can of oil.. Can anyone tell me the do's and don'ts on pulling the vacume??

According to the EPA, the correct way to do it if there was freon in the system would be to take it to someone with a freon reclaimer to keep it out of the atmosphere. Definately if it is the old r-12 freon. r-134a is supposed to be better but still not good for the environment.
Now if the system were to develop a mysterious leak...

After the freon is empty hook the guages up to the system an yellow hose to the vacuum pump. If it is an electric pump I generally let it run for 1/2 to an hour.
Air vacuum pumps consume a lot of air so when I used one, I pulled 30 inches of vavuum, closed the valves on the guages and let it sit for an hour under vacuum then add the freon to the low side as usual.

I drive with my windows down also, I like the feel of fresh air in my cab. In Alaska, you get use to not using A/C even if your vehicle is equipped with it. I'm down in Florida right now for the time being, and it's pretty hot but I still roll with my windows down. Also I think my a/c needs to be recharged

Couple of points:

- It's not Gores global warming
- It's not a scam.
- You're pretty damn foolish.
- What in the heck do you intend on doing with the can of oil ?

The oil's only used if the system is flushed, so you have an end point with which to start.
Without flushing the system, how in the hell do you think you're going to figure how much oil the system needs ?

While your at it you should cut all the epa required equipment off your truck since you don't buy into it. Since it all a scam you must not need it there anyway.

its not just my coutnry its our country.

china is doing thier part to pollute the ☺☺☺☺☺ out the planet. lets not do the same.

does any one have his IP?

we can forward it to the EPA, they would love to put him in the klink for ten years.

Technically your car gets worse gas mileage with the windows down so the pollution into the atmosphere would be worse... i guess

but i bet the Alaskan air is unreal
