Pro Comp Shock question...

Ive searched and read through some different threads about this but didnt' really get a good direct answer. I am going to be lifting my truck with the 1.5" BJ spacer and the 1.5" OME901HD's soon this summer in about a month, but my stock shocks suck something awful. So i was wondering if the 0-1" shocks would be fine to get now and still be ok when i lift my truck??? thanks for you help...they are ES3000's if that helps any

i used all-pro's 1.5" hd springs and got the pro comp es9000's that are 0-1" over stock. i like the shocks. i have noticed that i dont have as much rear axle articulation as some of the pictures i have seen on here. this may be because i still have my sway bar on though. the coils and shocks made my runner ride and look a lot better.

the only thing i've noticed is that at the top of the shock piston (above the point where the shock doesnt go any farther into the shock body on compression) is rusted. does anybody know how to get rid of the rust? its more of a looks issue than anything else.

I have 1.5" HD Downey coils in the back, and BJ spacers with 26mm T-Bars in the front. I measured the distance between the shock mounts while flexed out to see how long/short they would need to be. I think my rear shocks ended up being about 4.5" longer than stock to allow the spring to just barely drop off the bucket, while the front ones are about 1.5" longer. Both front and rear are the same length compressed as stock shocks, however to keep as much stuff as possible. I picked them based on compressed/extended lengths on the rancho website, and I get excellent flex IMO, especially for a near-stock 4x4 IFS.

bilsteins are worth it and the zinc plating really holds up against rust

The ProComp 3000's will be too short.

IMHO they are too short for stock...they definitely limit the flex.
