PreRunner capable SAS?

The 87 4Runner I'm building is going to be used for many things. Toad behind the RV, DD, rock crawler, and... prerunner. I grew up on dirt roads and around 70, they start to smooth out. At 100, the smooth ones can even get to be a lot of excitement (I ran MDR Class 1700 in a 4x4 Cherokee for a bit. I want this truck to be FASTER since I won't have class rules limiting my options. )

Every solid-axle Toy I've ridden in rides like a buckboard, and that's being polite. My 2000 Cherokee (solid front axle, but coils) did great all around.

So far I've been thinking about doing a Total Chaos front end, but there's some serious cha-ching in there, and you're still limited to 33x10.5s. 37s are calling my name mightily to boot. Ok, maybe I'll stick to 35s at first. Or not!

If anyone can point me at a pre-runner capable SAS solution, I'd be highly appreciative. SAS will be cheaper than TC at the end of the day, and allow me to get a strong R&P in the front too (and maybe axles. LOL).

You could always do a SAS with coils instead of leaf..

Your not the guinea pig. Lots of people have done a SAS with coils, just no one makes a kit. Go over to pirate4x4 and look at some of the yota builds with coils.

How are you with fabing parts? Welding? You can buy coil buckets and link tabs as well as links and ends from people such at ballistic fab.

who says that your limited to 33x10.5's with the TC kit? I used to run 33x12.5's with no problems, and you could run a larger tire if you tubbed the front.
